Last week Zen Tower had an unexpected visitor in the form of this young hen. We’re not sure how or why she picked our yard but she seemed very comfortable. One of the Zen Tower cats locked eyes on her, and paused only for a moment before giving chase. After a few minutes of excitement, the hen decided to hang out amongst some old leaves and tall grass.
While not a nuisance, we couldn’t assure her health or safety so animal control rescued her and promised she would likely be adopted very quickly. In the days that followed we’ve thought of and discussed her frequently, hoping she is content and well loved where ever she is now.
